It was a rainy Saturday morning so I decided to go out for breakfast before getting a good start on the day. I don't come here often but when I do I'm not usually disappointed. This morning I decided to go with the 2 eggs, meat and potatoes.
I ordered my eggs over easy. For my meat I went with the bacon and for my potatoes I went with the German fries. My beverage of choice was coffee with a side of ice water.
While waiting I surfed the net and read the newspaper. It seemed to take longer than normal for my food, but then they were pretty busy and the waitresses were running to and fro helping their customers.
When my food came out it was worth the wait! As she set the three plates of food in front of me my nose was greeted with the heavenly smell of freshly fried bacon which was still sizzling from it's short trip from the griddle to just under my salivating olfactory organs. The one plate held my amply buttered toast and German fries which were perfectly browned and crispy with fried onions perfectly dispersed throughout them. The eggs were perfectly fried over easy as ordered.
I dug in and as usual left nary a crumb on my plate. The eggs oozed golden goodness as they combined with the bacon and German Fries to make a perfect combination for an early morning meal. As I write this review it is with a contentment of having enjoyed a great breakfast and I feel prepared to head out into this rainy Saturday morning with a smile on my face and a full, contented belly! -

This is the epitome of a small-town diner. Friendly service, smiling patrons, old-school decor, and servings the size of Texas! Breakfast here was delicious and extremely affordable. The special was two eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee and it was less than $7. Highly recommend!

This is a charming little diner located in downtown Washington Indiana. It still has the great original diner stools and Formica in the booths fro the late 1960s. Fabulous prices on traditional diner fare-burgers, breakfast, fish, fries, onion rings, etc. I had the chicken salad made with iceberg lettuce And chopped tomatoes. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich ($3.95) and German fries ($2). Service was friendly and efficient. The food was ok and not pretentious. It is great to find an authentic diner from the past. What a great experience.
Bring cash or check because they don't take cards
The restrooms were recently remodeled and nice and clean. -

I can understand why this place is a classic! Tasty food and cheap prices, with an old time feel. The mushrooms were delicious. I am a huge burger fan, so naturally I loved the cheeseburger. At under $2, you can't beat it. The grilled onions make the burger, but prepare to 1- burp onions all day and 2- smell like onions. Totally worth it! Recommend taking home a sack of burgers for your friends. Try this place if you like classic eats and a great deal!

Step back into the sixties! Quaint old Diner, looks like it hasn't been changed since the sixties. Really cheap prices! A full breakfast for only $5.40. The old timey Booths were very uncomfortable, maybe some cushions might help a little.
